Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy is the use of therapeutic interventions to foster the development or enhancement of skills to the highest level of independence for the child. Occupational Therapy for children focuses on the following developmental areas:

  • sensory processing and modulation
  • gross and fine motor coordination
  • visual motor integration and perceptual skills
  • self-regulation
  • social interaction/play skills
  • organizational skills
  • self help skills
The TOTAL KIDS approach to Occupational Therapy includes access to therapy in a sensory gym, classroom observations, teacher consultations and home programs which are key to the carryover and reinforcement of treatment into the child’s daily environment.
